OECD Urban Days

Let’s Talk About Water is part of the OECD event Urban Days in Paris. “Circular Cities” is the theme of the April 15th program. Linda Lilienfeld debates the role of water in a Circular City framework: resilience to climate change. Short films can be a powerful tool in bringing about awareness and action on water reuse, rainwater recapture and similar mechanisms.

Two winners of the 2024 Latin American Prize for Short Films About Water and Science are shown: “The Planet of Water”, from Mexico, raises the issue of dire consequences of water waste and overuse that could lead to the extinction of our planet. “Echoes of the Lake”, from Argentina, is the other short film, and its focus is on currently occurring drought scenarios in South America as the outcome of a lack of water management.

The OECD event Urban Days “Circular Cities” gathers global mayors, leaders, experts and changemakers to discuss how to shape and finance inclusive, circular and sustainable cities.
