Welcome to Let’s Talk About Water

We are dedicated to leveraging film as a powerful educational tool in water science and water policy communication, sparking a dialogue between the scientific and policy community, youth, artists and the public through co-production, screenings and short film competitions.

Our Projects

As a climate-challenged planet we must open our eyes and hearts to the realities of our current world to address these challenges together. Let’s Talk About Water reviews subjects such as access to water, pollution, flooding, conservation, drought, impacts of global warming and policy challenges. We aim to promote water and earth science education and bring clarity and understanding to the water crisis and its solutions through film.

Short Film Competition

Green Water Africa: Hidden Lifelines is a new international short film competition shining a light on one of Africa’s most vital yet often overlooked resources: green water.
Stored in soil and vegetation, green water sustains food production, livelihoods, climate resilience, and sustainable development across the continent.
We invite filmmakers, students, scientists, artists, and storytellers from all backgrounds to submit a 3–5 minute film that brings these hidden water stories to life and shows how communities across Africa are building a more resilient water future.
Join us and Let’s Talk About Water!
