Free screening of the film Marche sur L’eau at Cinema Postmodernissimo

The UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme in collaboration with Let’s Talk About Water invite you to a free screening of Marcher sur L’eau at Cinema Postmodernissimo, Perugia, on 9 March at 17:00.

Directed by Senegalese filmmaker Aïssa Maïga, the documentary focuses on women in the Tatiste village and their daily challenges in accessing water, highlighting the impact of limited water resources on education and community life. The film also addresses how women are often responsible for household water tasks but face barriers in employment and decision-making.

Promoting gender equality in water access and governance is essential for poverty reduction, human rights, and achieving Sustainable Development Goals. The event aims to connect water science with real-life experiences and will feature a discussion with water experts after the film.

Watch for the launch of the UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme Report, March 2026.
